This meeting was a nice surprise. I thought I was scheduled for a mere 15 minutes with Assemblyman DeVore, but he spent over an hour and half with me. I know his time is precious, so it was greatly appreciated. We discussed many issues, mainly the safety consequences of the Laguna Beach day labor site operating on CA state land and right off a major highway. The Assemblyman was quite concerned and vowed to look into the matter with both Caltrans and ICE. (See his recent letter to ICE in the Documents section). We also discussed the mobile Matricular card giveaways, which seem to be increasing. I have every confidence in the Assemblyman that he will fight to end illegal immigration to the fullest extent of his office.
One more thing I was impressed with is that Mr. DeVore is a Veteran and he cares deeply about our Veteran’s issues. Thank You for your time Assemblyman DeVore. I look forward to working closely with your office in the future.
Congressman Campbell is a Freshman in Congress. One of his goals was to keep Federal money away from cities that declare themselves “Sanctuary Cities”.
Rep. John Campbell
R-Irvine, 48th District
2006 goals
Immigration: Keep provision in any immigration-reform bill that would withhold law enforcement federal funds from so-called sanctuary cities - communities that forbid police to give information about illegal immigrants to federal authorities.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Laguna Beach is the ONLY city in Campbell’s district that funds and supports a day labor site that openly aids illegal aliens.
Laguna Beach:
1) Supports and funds a day labor site which openly aids illegal aliens.
2) Illegally squatted on CA State land to operate this day labor site for 10 years with no rent paid.
3) Made an “agreement” with the illegal day laborers that they will NOT call ICE on them.
4) The Laguna Beach police department distributed flyers to illegal aliens telling them they were “an important part of the community” and the city “wants them to stay here and make lots of money to send back to Mexico”.
5) The (now retired) police chief set a policy that the Mexican Matricular card is accepted as Legal ID within Laguna Beach city limits.
If that doesn’t add up to Sanctuary City, I don’t know what would!
Laguna Beach is the same city that received $5 MILLION in FEMA money to rebuild a residential street that holds a few Multimillion homes!

Many of us are faced having to do too many things at our rallies; hold signs, take photos, video tape, hold papers others give us, at the same time trying to hang onto our most important rally item, our flag. Most stick the flag in a pocket, but we still need to use one hand to keep it from falling around.
I invented this most easy and inexpensive “flag holder”.
It’s made from a child’s plastic baseball bat. I purchased it at Walmart for $1.97 (It also comes with a wiffle ball). I cut the top off the top of the bat and cut slits near the top and bottom. You can thread your belt through the top slits. Then I threaded some heavy twine through the bottom slits and tied it around my leg.
It works perfectly! You can walk with no trouble and your hands are completely free for all those other tasks.
